Simplifying Local Service Bookings
WiseConnect is a mobile platform designed to connect users with nearby barbers, salons, and personal care providers. The goal was to create a seamless booking experience while giving service professionals a structured way to manage appointments, communicate with clients, and grow their visibility within their area.

Challenge
Local service bookings are often fragmented—handled through phone calls, social media messages, or walk-ins. This creates scheduling conflicts, missed appointments, and limited visibility for service providers.
Users needed a fast way to discover trusted professionals nearby, book appointments instantly, and communicate directly. Service providers needed a simple system to register, manage bookings, and build credibility through reviews.
The challenge was to design a two-sided platform that felt effortless for customers while remaining practical and efficient for providers.
Results
The platform streamlined the appointment booking and confirmation process, reducing friction for users while giving providers better control over their schedules. It improved visibility for local service professionals by allowing them to showcase their services, availability, and client reviews in one structured space. Direct in-app communication enabled clearer coordination between clients and providers, minimizing misunderstandings and last-minute cancellations. The integrated feedback system further strengthened trust, helping users make informed decisions while allowing providers to build credibility within their local market.

Process
Research & Analysis: I began by studying booking behaviors and identifying friction points in informal scheduling methods. Alongside user insights, I conducted a competitor analysis of platforms like Fresha, Booksy, and StyleSeat to understand industry standards, feature gaps, and usability patterns.
This analysis revealed opportunities to simplify onboarding, improve service discovery, and create a more intuitive booking flow tailored to local neighborhood providers.
Information Architecture: The platform was structured around three core flows: search, book, and manage. Clear separation between customer and provider journeys ensured both sides had tailored experiences.
Wireframing & Prototyping: User flows were mapped for searching nearby providers, viewing profiles, selecting services, booking time slots, and chatting. On the provider side, onboarding and appointment management were simplified to reduce friction.
Usability Testing: Key interactions—such as service selection, time-slot booking, and registration—were tested to ensure clarity and reduce drop-offs during onboarding.
Visual Design & Style Guide: A clean, modern interface was developed to reflect trust and accessibility. The design emphasized strong visual hierarchy, intuitive navigation, and easy-to-scan service listings.

Conclusion
Revamping the e-commerce website proved to be a game-changer in enhancing user experience and driving sales. By simplifying the navigation and checkout process, we created a more enjoyable shopping experience that significantly boosted conversion rates and customer satisfaction. This project highlights the critical role of UX design in the success of e-commerce platforms.
